Jim BrownIn this sample audio clip, Jim Brown interviews long-time trimaran sailor Tim Mann. Tim was Jim’s youngest client to ever build, and then subsequently sail, a Searunner trimaran. Tim was 16 when he walked with his father into Jim’s boat shop so his dad could check out the wild sort of “boat” that his son wanted to build.

Just a year later, while his high-school classmates were celebrating their graduation, Tim was 60 miles out to sea, just off the California coast, in his newly built Searunner 25 trimaran.

Wow.

It turned out Tim had a bunch a great stories to share with Jim on this call. Not the least of which was how he got into the aquaponics business … which, incidentally, is connected to Tim’s experience with multihulls. (He explains this in the complete audio.) Tim’s aquaponics website can be found at www.friendlyaquaponics.com
