Jim BrownWelcome to this sample audio clip, where Jim again speaks to catamaran sailor Fred Yeates. This short mp3 is taken from a much more extensive interview, where Fred shares his tale of being caught in the worst storm he ever encountered, which was in the notorious “Gulf of Tehuantepec.”

In this segment, Fred begins to tell how the storm came upon him and his sailing companion, as they were cruising South, in the Pacific Ocean, just off the southern coast of Mexico. (You can hear the emotion in Fred’s voice as he recalls what happened to him). Fred also shares during the interview that the main reason why he is telling this story today is so that it might help to save lives someday in the future!
