Restoring the Trimaran Named “THAT”

One of Jim Brown’s most outstanding clients was a “can-do” individual named Mark Hassall. Jim talks about Mark here, and also features him on audio (as he was sailing thru a hurricane) here. Mark lived an amazing life, filled with incredible personal adventures. (Just listen to Jim’s audio about Mark in the above link).

The last cruising boat this guy built was a large trimaran Jim designed especially for Mark named “THAT“. After Mark’s death Jim assumed the boat would eventually disintegrate at the edge of the jungle near Mark’s home in Guatemala. Just recently, however, Jim received some correspondence from someone who recovered what was left of the boat and has nearly restored it to full sailing health.
