Continues the the voyage of JUANA, wherein the vessel disappears from its anchorage at a remote location in Baja California. With the gracious help of threadbare Mexicans, JUANA is recovered, and we continue south…into changing weather and different circumstances.

   Jim,
   Thanks for your wonderful storytelling, I felt like I was right there. Loved the descriptions of the crazy “escape machines” that never managed to escape! Flying saucers, indeed. I remember seeing some photos of gigantic eyesores (seasores?) in Chris White’s book, and wondering how many others ther might have been!
   My darling Susan and I had a wonderful little cruise on Kauri last week, and returning back to Gloucester from the Isles of Shoals in a frisky NEster, I marvelled at the easy speed and gracious seakindliness of your son’s creation. Felt like the luckiest guy afloat!
