This, Part Two of the Woody Brown story, describes how Woody’s trail-blazing MANU KAI catamaran. It was originally intended only for taking tourists for joy rides off of Waikiki Beach, but it inspired other designers and sailors to advance Woody’s concept for open seafaring.

This Caper concludes with my telling of the seminal sailing event of taking Woody Brown, at age 94, for his last seaborne romp, in 2005, aboard a sistership to his original MANU KAI.

Here is the video of Jim and his friends taking Woody, while in his 90s, out for an incredible sail off the coast of Maui…
